It also examines how other major institutions in our society--the church, the medical profession, and the political community--responded to the Planned Parenthood agenda, first with open resistance, then pity and endurance, and finally, all too often, a warm embrace. Behind-the-scenes efforts to influence the courts and to direct national policy through control of the Federal Executive branch are also probed.
