Catholic Theme Park
Plans to build a Catholic theme park in the US were made in 1985, where families can visit places that represent both private and public revelations while sharing their faith. Marianland will have reproductions of the Holy Land, the Vatican, Knock, Lourdes, Fatima, Guadalupe, Medjugorje, and other notable holy sites.
Features of Marianland include:
Christ's life, the lives of the saints, and religious tales from the Old and New Testament will beacted out again.
Large Catholic, Marian, or Pro-Life conferences can be held in conference rooms that are sufficiently roomy. Visitors will be accommodated in the park's hotels.
Modern train systems to take guests to every part of the park.
Movie theaters exhibiting the best Christian films as well as documentaries on apparitions of Mary, miracles, saints, family values, and other controversial subjects in contemporary culture.
Retailers selling the best books and DVDs on the Catholic, Marian, and Pro-Life movements as well as significant works of Christian literature.
The goal is to generate enough funds to purchase land and hire a renowned architectural firm with expertise in the planning and development of spiritual retreat, theme parks and convention buildings.

Why hasn't this Catholic amusement park been built yet? Nearly two billion dollars were spent by the Catholic Church on bankruptcies and settlements related to Catholic sex abuse cases. For less money, a theme park could be constructed.
