Jesus: The Desire of Ages is an artistic portrayal of Christ’s passion set against the backdrop of the many lives He touched during his earthly ministry. The film opens with the warmth and hope of the nativity and then quickly transitions to the fearful terror of the crucifixion. Within the framework of the journey to Calvary are interwoven numerous flashback sequences portraying the stories of ten individuals whose lives were forever changed by the power and love of Jesus. Among them are the woman at the well, the two demoniacs, the woman caught in adultery, the girl brought back to life, and the leper. As these individuals witness Jesus’ death, their memories of His mercy bring them to their knees.

This is a beautifully created movie about the most beautiful love story ever told. The artistic photography and stirring musical score hold it together like a dream. The perspectives of some of the "lesser" players are shown, adding a unique twist to the tale, and I appreciate that the limit of bloodiness makes this relatively child friendly.

A beautiful portraying of Jesus' real work while on earth. I like the reality of the two brothers running to their father to tell him what was happening to Jesus and he reminded them of all the miracles and many wonderful things Jesus has done and what they have seen Him done with their own eyes. Amazing Grace. I love this and I will purchase the DVD for my church, especially my Pathfinder Club and Youth to see it.
